1922

Founding of Süddeutsches Lackwerk by Mr. Alexander Zelle.

Its products, mainly coating compounds for local tradesmen and paint shops, are marketed under the brand name "Wetterwart-Lacke".

 


1958

Expansion of the existing paint production. Start of the development and manufacture of quick-drying synthetic resin and synthetic coating systems.

 


1974

Mrs. Katharina Zelle-Hahne takes over the management in the third generation

 


1975 - 1977

New design of company logo. The new logo as 'corporate identity' provides a visual identity in all business divisions.

The production of high-quality industrial coatings for the construction machinery industry and for medium-sized makers of machines, installations and equipment is defined as the company's new core business.

 


1978 - 1982

1978: New administration building is erected, with Katharina Zelle-Hahne in charge of the project

1982: Production and storage areas are newly built, complying with strictest environmental and safety aspects


During the 12-month construction phase, production continues in a rented production hall


With the construciton of new administration and production buildings, Katharina Zelle-Hahne laid the foundation for the change from being a manufacturer of paints to a supplier of innovative coating systems for the metal-working and plastics-processing industries.


1989


Thomas Di Filippo joins the company. After a two-year training on-the-job spanning all departments, his responsibilities during the following years include the introduction of a QA management system, the strategic international profile of the company, as well as distribution and the expansion of the international business with co-operations and licensed partners.




1994 - 1996

Implementation of quality management and environmental management systems in accordance with IS0-9001 and IS0-14001 standards




1996

Exclusive licensed partnership and distribution agreement with AMERON-International (now PPG PMC), among other things for products  used for heavy corrosion protection in the offshore industries and the petrochemical sector.

 


2000

Intensification of international orientation through co-operation agreements with licensed and trade partners as well agents in Europe and Asia

 


2006

Expansion and new construction of production facilities for water-soluble coating materials and ultra-high-solids

 


2009

The research laboratory is newly constructed and the technical center newly equipped with the latest testing engineering technology

 


Today

Concentration on the core business, customer focus, innovative spirit, and uncompromising quality are the basis for our commercial success to this day
