Careful preparation of the base surface is decisive for the success of any coating system. The importance of removing oil, grease, old paint and surface dirt (e.g. rolling skin and rust on steel, grout on concrete and zinc salt on galvanised surfaces) cannot be stressed enough.

The results of each coat depend on the correct and thorough preparation of the surface before application.

Even the most expensive and high-tech paint system will not provide the desired effect if the surface has not been prepared properly. It should be mentioned that some special coatings are less sensitive to the surfaces than standard products. However, the best possible surface preparation should be the basis for all painting work.
